Ryan Slusarzyk is the Corporate Business Travel Manager for the Amway Hotel Corporation.  He oversees all corporate travel into the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, JW Marriott Grand Rapids, Downtown Courtyard by Marriott and Peter Island Resort.  Previously, Ryan acted as Marketing Programs Manager for the Amway Hotel Corporation and managed all marketing, communications, social media and public relations for the corporation, including establishing and maintain the brand and identity for the hotels, restaurants, lounges and events at the properties.

A part of Ryan’s duties were to be the non-profit liaison for the Amway Hotel Corporation.  Through this, and his love for giving back as maintained board and/or committee representation with the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Spectrum Health, Vanguard Academy, Pine Rest, Gilda’s Club of Grand Rapids, Seidman College of Business at Grand Valley State University, Susan G. Komen of West Michigan, Grand Rapids Children’s Museum, and many other worthy organizations.

In his free time, which is sparingly, Ryan enjoys dining out with friends, drinking wine and great local brews.  He spends lots of time with family and loves to travel and create amazing memories.

Ryan is very excited to be a part of GR+ and has been crucial to the formation of the group.  Ryan states “the future of Grand Rapids is in our hands and we must empower and push each other to want to better the community we work, live, play and love in.”
