Linsey is an estate planning attorney at Varnum.  Her practice includes full-service estate plan preparation, tax planning, estate and trust administration, guardianship and conservatorship services, elder law, and special needs planning.  She is passionate about counseling her clients and helping them to identify and achieve their immediate and long-term estate planning goals. Linsey was recently honored as a 2013 Michigan Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine and as a ATHENA Young Professional Award finalist. 

Linsey is currently serving as Chair of the Probate and Estate Planning section of the Grand Rapids Bar Association, and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, State Bar of Florida, West Michigan Estate Planning Council, West Michigan Planned Giving Group, National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, Economic Club of Grand Rapids, Gilda's Club Red, and Inforum.  Linsey is also active with the Heart of West Michigan United Way, where she was a founding member of NextGen United Way and now serves on the Finance and Audit Committee, and with the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan – Western Region, of which she is a  past President.  She is also serving on the Holland Home Foundation Board and as the Vice Chairperson of Senior Neighbors, Inc., and is a proud graduate of the Leadership Grand Rapids Class of 2013. 

A born-and-raised Westsider, after graduating from Montague High School Linsey spent nine years in the East Lansing area where she earned her bachelor's degree in General Management from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and completed an additional major in Economics, graduating with highest honors.  After spending a few years working as a professional SCUBA diver by day and karaoke hostess by night, she attended Michigan State University College of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude with her juris doctorate. 

Linsey loves to live, work and play in Grand Rapids.  In her free time she enjoys traveling, cheering on her beloved Spartans, traveling, reading, eating, and traveling.
